Description

This is our biggest diameter surf casting reel with a stainless steel back plate, metal side cast and a strong compression moulded spool.   A good recovery rate combined with a smooth strong multi-plate clutch makes an good surf reel for the longer rods chasing big fish in the surf.

The large diameter spool makes this reel ideal for bait spinning and can be used for deep sea fishing on a short boat rod again because of the good recovery rate.   The smooth clutch is a multi-plate design with polished brass platescombined with fibre friction washers which can also withstand very high temperatures.   For a smooth clutch action use Alvey Reel Oil in the clutch washers.

A fish alert switch on the back side of the reel can be engaged when leaving the rod and reel unattended to warn you of a fish taking line. Ideal for tailor, salmon, mackerel.   Left handed reels are available.

Due to the unique manufacturing process, each reel is different in respect to the colours and the amount of each colour in the reel.
