Surf Champion 65C
65 (6.5″) C (Non-Reverse Drag With Handle Plate)
$309.00
Description
Catching strong fish off the beach or out of a boat, this reel will handle them with ease. Full stainless back and metal side cast system gives reliability and strength to handle heavy lines and large fighting fish. Super strong injection moulded fibre glass spool with a switch to engage multi-plate clutch with a metal star nut finishes the job. The multiplte clutch is made up of polished brass plates and fibre friction washers which are oiled with Alvey Reel Oil to give a smooth strong clutch action. A fish alert switch on the back side of the reel can be engaged when leaving the rod and reel unattended to warn you of a fish taking line. Great casting distance andresistance to salt and sand make this one tough reel. A very versatile reel to handle a very wide range of fish on a large surf rod or mounted on a short stubby boat rod Ideal for tailor, salmon, mackerel. Left handed reels are available.

We couldn't be more proud to have been Australian owned for 101 years!
This is the greatest country in the world, and we get to be a part of it, in this, our 102nd year in business.
From all of us at Alvey, we hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating everything that makes this country great (hopefully you can get a sneaky fishing session in!).
****Please remember to protect yourself from the sun and organise a designated driver if you plan to drink****

We have a feeling that little bream will grow up to be a monster, and teenage Amelia will be reeling it in with her Alvey again in the years to come 🎣

Not everyone knows how to rig up for every type of fish, and sometimes it can be hard to find the right information. ⠀
⠀
Luckily Sammy Hitzke has been hard at work showing anyone who may be new to the world of angling how to set up their rigs to get the right fish for the right spot.⠀
⠀
He's got rig suggestions for Whiting, Tailor, Rock fishing, Sharks, Mulloway, Lure casting and many more!⠀
⠀
Head to alvey.com.au and scroll down to the Tips and Tricks section to see the collection and find the video that's right for your preferred type of fish/fishing spot.⠀
⠀
And if you've got some tips of your own, feel free to share them with the Alvey Community on our social media pages. Or, if you haven't already, don't forget to join the Alvey Anglers Australia Facebook group. It's full of like-minded anglers helping each other out and sharing advice learned from many years of practice. It's a place where you can learn the art and science behind the best sport in the world. There's no online fishing community like it!⠀

HAPPY NEW YEAR from Bruce, Glenn, Con and the entire Alvey team.
To say 2020 was a big year for everyone is an understatement. But with everything going on around the world, we were still able to celebrate our 100th year in business with the release of over a dozen new reels, including our first ever baitcaster and offshore reels (to rave reviews😊).
Thank you to everyone who supported us in our 100th year.
We wish you all the best as we move into another year, our 101st.
PS. we have a whole lot more coming your way in 2021, stay tuned! 😛 ...
